Revamping my LinkedIn Coach website

Yesterday I received an email that a plugin on my website was causing a fatal error and as a result the website could not load. The plugin was not compatible with the latest version of wordpress, on which my LinkedIn Coach website runs. I was in a state of panic. What was I going to do? I needed a wordpress expert to into the website and fix things for me as soon as possible. I got hold of the one person I knew but he was not available.

This left me with no choice but to go into the back-end myself and try to fix things. It was a case of trial and error. I took matters into my hands and paused to reflect. Ever since I got the LinkedIn Coach back, I really did not understand a lot of things a lot of things happening at the backend of the website.

Why was I keeping all this stuff? Did I really need it? Maybe, but the truth is that half the things, I did not really know what their function was. So I started going through all the things on the website and if something did not appear useful, I deleted it.

I then decided that now was as good a time as any to go for a look and feel that I really wanted on the website. Why not? What is the worst that could happen. This website was not loading to begin with.

So ladies and gentlemen I was chopping and changing things for a whole 2 to 3 hours until I got this. There is no way I was going to give up once I started. I was going to keep trying things until I got the result I wanted. Failure was not option and sometimes in life this is what we need. To have our back against the wall and know that if we don’t succeed, we are in a mess. There is no plan B. There was no Plan B once I started changing things on the website.

Let me know what you think. Here is the final result of my efforts. The LinkedIn Coach website.
